An absolutely gorgeous carved coral earring and pin/pendant set from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each piece has a single, intricately carved piece of coral which is in is set in 18kt gold. The pin, which can also be worn as a pendant, has a large rose carved out of coral and rests in the center of an 18kt gold round plaque. The plaque is detailed with fine beadwork and wirework in a geometric pattern. At the top, bottom and on either side is a square faceted gold pyramid-type design. A gold bead is next to this design, with smaller gold beads outlining the edges of the circle giving it a 3-dimensional look. A hidden flip-down bail rests at the top to transform the pin into a wonderful pendant. The earrings match the pin/pendant with the same complimentary pattern, however they dangle from a gold shield-type surmount. The surmount connects to 18kt gold earring wire. It is decorated with the same faceted gold pyramid type design in the center, with fine wirework detail running along the edge. It's a stunning set and would make a fabulous addition to any collection!
